Writing-On-Stone Park: Guided Tour, 22 Sept 2014
The first stop on our tour. The Rodeo grounds seen in the distance has
been the site of a popular summer event for the past fifty years. In 1977 the fence across
the valley was built to restrict access to the park and help protect the remaining rock art from vandalism.
On this panel, abstract carvings and "V-neck" human figures can be seen on the high rock wall.
The absence of horses suggests they were likely carved sometime before the 1700's.
